Curious minds love Camp Moxie! Our science and technology activities turn big questions into hands-on fun, as campers design, build, test, and discover together.
Robotics
Campers build and program their own robots, learning how robots are put together, how they move, and how they sense and react to the world around them. When something doesn’t work the first time, they troubleshoot, try again, and celebrate when it finally does.
Coding
Using camp iPads, campers write programs that steer Sphero BOLT robots through a series of mazes. Each maze is a new puzzle, and campers test, tweak, and refine their code until their robot makes it all the way through, building real coding skills one challenge at a time.
MakerSpace
In our MakerSpace, campers tinker, invent, and build with all kinds of materials. There’s no single right answer, just lots of creativity and problem-solving.
STEAM Challenges
Hands-on experiments and team challenges let campers explore science in ways that feel like play, and they learn that the best ideas often come from working together.
Rocketry
Three, two, one, liftoff! Campers design and build their own model rockets, then head outside to launch them and watch them soar. Along the way, they learn how rockets fly and cheer each other on with every launch.
Activities are planned just right for each age, and campers entering grades 3–9 pick their favorites each week through our elective program.
