A Camp Built Around Your Child
Moxies is Camp Moxie’s traditional co-ed day camp for campers entering grades 1–10, and it’s where summer memories are made. Every day is packed with sports, swimming, arts, science, adventure, and special events, and every camper has a group of friends to share it with.
Your camper joins a group of up to 15 friends, led by caring Counselors who learn every camper’s name, cheer them on, and make sure no one ever feels left out. As campers grow, they get more chances to shape their own schedules, choose the activities they love most, and try something brand new.
Whether it’s your camper’s first summer or their fifth, our goal is the same: a happy, safe, and confident kid who can’t wait to come back tomorrow.
Divisions
Grades 1–4
Campers in grades 1–4 try a little bit of everything, from the pool to the ball field to the art room. They stay with their group throughout the day, so friendships grow quickly, and a steady, predictable routine helps every camper feel comfortable and confident. Starting in grade 3, campers also begin choosing electives each week.
Grades 5–8
As campers grow, so does their independence. Campers in grades 5–8 build more of their own schedule through our elective program, so they can dive deeper into the activities they love. Once a week, they head off-site with their friends for an exciting adventure through our Trip Program.
Grades 9–10
Our oldest campers take their first steps as leaders. In LIT (grade 9), campers still spend most of their day enjoying camp while learning to help younger campers. In CIT (grade 10), they work alongside our Counselors and Specialists, building real leadership skills and giving back to our community.
A Day at Moxies
Every camp day is full, fun, and thoughtfully planned, so campers always know what to expect and have something to look forward to.
A Warm Welcome
Whether campers arrive by bus or by car, our leadership team is there to greet them with a smile. We take attendance and check in with every camper, so each day starts off on the right foot.
Two Swims Every Day
Each morning, campers in grade 6 and younger have instructional swim with certified Water Safety Instructors, and campers in grade 7 and older choose from swim electives. Every afternoon, everyone enjoys free swim. Learn more on our Aquatics page.
Activities and Electives
Our even-week and odd-week schedule means campers get to enjoy different activities every week, from sports and ceramics to robotics and the zipline. Starting in grade 3, campers also choose their own electives each week, so they can return to old favorites or discover something new.
Lunch and Snacks
No one goes hungry at Camp Moxie! Every camper enjoys a morning snack, a hot kosher lunch prepared fresh on site, and an afternoon ice cream snack. Learn more about Food at Camp.
Something Special Every Week
Spirit days, big events, and camp traditions keep every week exciting, and no two weeks are the same. See our Special Events.

Your Camper’s Group
At Camp Moxie, every camper belongs to a group, and every group has a home team of caring adults.
Counselors Who Know Your Child
Each group of up to 15 campers is led by Counselors who stay with them throughout the summer. They guide campers from activity to activity, help them make friends, and make sure every child feels seen and supported.
A Division Leader Just for Your Camper’s Grade
Every grade has a Division Leader, an experienced educator who oversees your camper’s group and guides their Counselors all summer long. Before camp begins, your Division Leader will give you a call to introduce themselves, answer your questions, and learn what will help your camper have a great summer.
Meeting Friends Before Day One
In June, a couple of weeks before camp, we invite each grade to an evening Meet and Greet, so campers can meet their Counselors, Division Leader, and new friends before the first day even arrives. New to camp? Visit our First-Time Families page for everything you need to know.
